Carson Storms Past Gardena ... Colts' Blackman accounts for five touchdowns in a 48-7 Marine League victory over Gardena. Showdown with rival Banning awaits.
By Geoffrey Nielsen Correspondent Quarterback Dominique Blackman passed for four touchdowns and ran for another as Carson tuned up for its showdown with Banning by routing visiting Gardena, 48-7, in a Marine League game Friday night. "We wanted to come out hard and establish a good lead," said Blackman, who completed 9 of 12 passes for 197 yards. "We felt if we could score some early points, we would be able to put them away." Carson (7-2, 4-0) did just that, scoring on all six of its first-half possessions to take a 41-7 halftime lead.
